Who the SolarSaga 200W is for

  • You own, or will own, a Jackery station — especially the Explorer 2000 Plus — and want the matched cable story.
  • You can carry 14.33 lb to a driveway and rotate the folio a couple of times a day.
  • You want an IP68 rating on the panel we can actually quote.
  • You will fold it before hail and before you leave the lot.

Who should skip it

  • Your station is a BLUETTI or Anker SOLIX and you wanted the in-family panel — see SP200L or PS400.
  • Outages are nights only. Buy watt-hours, not glass.
  • You wanted set-and-forget roof production. Out of scope.
  • You will series-wire without a Voc you trust. We do not have one to hand you.

Watts, weight, and IP68

Nameplate is 200 W. That is a lab number. On a wet autumn driveway you will see less, sometimes a lot less. A useful planning band for a 200 W folder in decent sun is on the order of 0.6–1.2 kWh in a day, not 200 watts times eight hours. Dirty cells, low angle, and a tree’s moving shade will take their cut.

Packed weight is 14.33 lb. That is the lightest of the three folders we name. It is why this SKU is the default Jackery match instead of a 35.3 lb 400 W folio. IP68 is Jackery’s listed ingress rating. That is water and dust, not a hail warranty, not a theft deterrent, and not permission to leave the kit in a gutter.

  1. Confirm the Jackery station’s solar input window (watts, Voc, current) on the live page.
  2. Do not invent Voc from a forum or a reseller if Jackery’s own pages disagree — we left it blank for that reason.
  3. Unfold, kickstand, aim as close to perpendicular as you will actually maintain.
  4. Fold before hail, wind, and errands.

The Voc we will not invent

Open-circuit voltage is the spec that decides whether a panel is compatible, especially if you ever series two of them. Jackery’s pages conflicted or were unclear on Voc for this SKU, so our catalog cell is blank and our comparison tables show an em dash. We will not pick the larger of two marketing charts. You must read the live SolarSaga page and the live station page together on the day you buy.

If you cannot find a Voc you trust, do not series-wire. One panel into the intended Jackery input is the conservative path. Cold sun raises Voc; leave margin if you do find a number. This is the same honesty rule we use for surge on some stations. Details: panel buying guide.

How to use it on a driveway

Place the folio where a tree will not walk across it at 2 p.m. Keep the cable from becoming a trip line. Do not charge through a closed window and call it a plan. Partial shade on one cell can crater output on a string. Kickstands skate on wet concrete; babysit gusts. Bring it in when you leave so it does not become lawn art for a thief.

The Explorer 2000 Plus is 2,042.8 Wh. One 200 W folder will not refill that tank by lunch in January. It will put a useful dent in it at noon in June if you aim. Extra Battery Pack 2000 Plus modules make the tank larger; they do not make the panel larger. If you need more nameplate than 200 W, you are looking at a second SolarSaga (Voc homework required) or a different brand’s 400 W folio you will actually carry. We will not tell you the PS400 is a Jackery accessory. It is not.

Honest caveats
