Who the C2000 Gen 2 is for

You want the ~2 kWh, 120 V essentials job in the lightest featured case.
You care that Anker printed a 4,000 W peak, and you will still test the fridge.
Stairs, a car, or a second-floor kitchen make 61–62 lb a problem.
Up to 4 kWh of expansion is enough. You are not chasing 8,192 Wh.

Who should skip it

240 V well, dryer, or split-phase hook. This SKU is 120 V. Shop the Anker SOLIX F3800 (3,840 Wh, 6,000 W, 9,000 W surge, 120/240 V, 132.3 lb, $2,199.98).
Automatic whole-home HVAC. Whole-house generators.
You want 3,000 W continuous. That is the Explorer 2000 Plus.

Capacity. 2,048 Wh. Same planning tank as the AC200L. Fridge-plus-network is still a duty-cycle problem, not a marketing hour count. See the buying guide.
Output. 2,400 W continuous. Tied with BLUETTI. Below Jackery’s 3,000 W. Size simultaneous running watts against 2,400 W, not against peak.
Peak. 4,000 W. This is the only featured 2 kWh core with a peak we could copy. Peak is a second. It helps a compressor start. It does not run a well. It does not replace a 240 V inverter.
Weight. 41.7 lb. The whole review, for a lot of households. Jackery is 61.5 lb. BLUETTI is 62.4 lb. If the station must move, start here.
Voltage. 120 V. Read it twice if you have a well.
Chemistry. LFP. Same lithium iron phosphate family as LiFePO4 on the other two cores.
Expandable. Up to 4 kWh. Double the core, half the BLUETTI ceiling we copy. Useful for a longer 120 V outage. Not a house plant.

The $100 and the stairs

$999.99 versus $899 is not more watt-hours on day one. It is 41.7 lb versus 61.5–62.4 lb, plus a peak watt Anker actually printed. If the station never leaves a garage floor, pay the Jackery 3,000 W or the BLUETTI ceiling instead. If you will carry it to a kitchen, a car, or a second floor, the scale is the spec.

4,000 W peak is a starting-watt data point. Size running watts against 2,400 W continuous. A fridge that starts and a microwave that runs are different seconds. Peak does not stack with a 240 V well. Peak does not excuse an unmarked interlock. Test the compressor. Then stop adding loads.

Treat the PS400 as a second heavy object. 35.3 lb of panel plus 41.7 lb of station is a two-trip setup. Confirm Voc and the station’s solar window before you buy 400 W of glass. A blank Voc on our table means we would have guessed. We did not.

The F3800 is a fork, not a sibling in this class

Anker sells both. This site keeps them in different silos on purpose. The C2000 Gen 2 is the 2 kWh, 120 V carry-in station. The F3800 is the 120/240 V expandable cabinet: 3,840 Wh, 6,000 W, 9,000 W surge, 132.3 lb, $2,199.98. Do not average those rows. If the house hook is split-phase, leave this review and read best expandable home batteries and the F3800 page. If you only needed a fridge, do not let the F3800’s wattage talk you into 132 lb.

Recharge and PS400 pairing

Charge from the wall when you can. We do not invent Anker’s AC input wattage or a minute-to-full claim outside the dated fields. Confirm on the live page.

The named Anker folder is the PS400: 400 W nameplate, 35.3 lb, IP67, $699.99 on August 26, 2026. Voc was not clearly listed, so we leave it blank. 35.3 lb is a panel, not a throw-in accessory. Confirm the C2000 Gen 2 solar window before you treat 400 W as a default. Twice the nameplate of the 200 W SolarSaga and SP200L folders is twice the chance to over-Voc an input if you guess.

Honest caveats

Lighter does not mean more watt-hours. 4 kWh is the expansion cap we copy, not 8,192 Wh. 4,000 W peak is not 3,000 W continuous. We have not run a warehouse of long-term teardowns. EcoFlow is not a featured partner (7-day cookie). Tesla Powerwall and rooftop solar are out of scope.
